Presentations 2026

Oakham Bowls Club

The end of the outdoor bowling season was marked by the Club’s Presentation Lunch held at the Vale on Sunday.

Prize winners, partners and members of the Club enjoyed an excellent lunch of shepherds pie followed by a delicious array of desserts.

Competitions Secretary Janet Horwood gave a short report on the five finals played on the 6th September and of the seven finals played on the 13th September. Presentations of the trophies to the winners and runners up was then made by Club President Sylvia Shalders.

Club members can now look forward to a number of social evenings throughout the autumn and winter months.

Short mat bowling has now started in the Club House on Thursday evenings from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm. Members use these evenings, not only to enjoy the bowling, but to keep in touch with fellow members during the winter months as well as enjoying a drink at the club bar.
